10 metre digitally-printed mural celebrating the eclectic DIY musical heritage of Leeds. 22 portraits of lesser-known local musicians and producers, co-created through consultation with independent local record stores, DJs, music charities and venues. Supported by Leeds City Council
An embedded research project exploring the history and current tensions around re-development of the Kirkgate area of Leeds. The project culminated in a 14 metre mixed-media mural with the phrase “Common Ground” translated and displayed in the 10 most-used languages in the area. All translation work by local poets and academics, aiming to preserve the dual meaning of the phrase. Commissioned by East Street Arts and supported by Rushbond PLC.
Reflecting on the life and times of the apocryphal saint of lost children and escape from Devils. The ancient city of Antioch today straddles the modern Turkish-Syrian border. Indian ink and gold leaf on 1220x2440mm Gesso boards. Originally displayed at a Left Bank Leeds – a former church consecrated to St Margaret of Anticoch, supported by Heritage Lottery Fund.
