finished my newest painting. To give it some context the ideas i’v been working with at the moment revolve around body image, fame and the media’s presentation of acceptable image, and how this imposes an unreal and uninteresting standard on people. I chose the bakewell tart as a visual metaphor as I was looking for something endlessly reproduced, uniform in appearance; lacking in individual character or complexity

still playing with this new way of painting, here’s my first ever attempt at an oil painting - really really different to using acrylic. I find it a lot harder, but gives a sweet result

Made a pinhole camera from cardboard, masking tape, black paint, tin foil and bin bags, first shots are here - will add more soon
(the reason for showing inverts is that when you develop these they come out inverted and you have to convert in the darkroom)
