Been using a couple of dead hours (read: 1am +) each day to work on some personal stuff from my sketchbook that I’ve been wanting to pursue for ages, this is the latest one. It’s drawn 100% by hand, of course, and then scanned and colour added in Photoshop. Can’t really elaborate on the message, [...]

I love being able to do a bit of purely personal work every so often, and this is what my tea-soaked brain threw up at about 12.30 last night:

second in the series: ‘Envy’ in a fairly modern context! All drawn by hand (got a bit obsessed here) in green biro, with obvious ‘envy’ connotations! Still needs to be scanned in and cleaned up, but it will be a few days before I can get near an A3 scanner

Newest piece for a series I’m doing based on the 7 deadly sins - didn’t want to go with ‘ greed’ or ‘gluttony’ for this one as they seemed far too obvious! Done in photoshop using a mix of stock photos, googles and pics I took myself. Really happy with the result, but still in [...]

Just finsihed the canvas I’ve been working on for the past week or so and I’m really happy with how it’s turned out! See it here or in my Fine Art gallery in the Portfolio section

Following the ‘Designer Labels’ Series I did, I created a second off-shoot with the working title ‘Rogue Traffic’, which are basically lighthearted roadsigns, see them here:

Just finished a new series of illustrations entitled ‘Designer Labels’, which are essential labels added to everyday scenes, conveying their unspoken meaning in a fairly offbeat way.

Was up until about 3am last night putting finishing touches onto this, pretty fitting really considering that the theme is an addiction to design! All drawn by hand, of course!

The latest stage of the canvas I’m working on - Skin on the face needs darkening and I haven’t even touched the background yet but I’m happy so far!

Haven’t really posted in the last few days as I’ve been working on a canvas, its all acrylic so far and about 70cm X 70 cm so fairly big. Here’s an in progress shot:

Got approached recently to design the latest in an ongoing campaign for Scholarest, the catering company. The breif was a poster advertising a Halloween-themed promotion to win cinema tickets. I thought this would be a cool chance for a Homage to an area of design that is just insultingly awesome - old B-Movie Horror posters. [...]
